Having a pair of binoculars is a great asset for many types of activities. Birding, hunting, nature observation, sporting events, horse racing, NASCAR races, nautical activities, and astronomy are just a few of them. Binoculars allow a person to see an activity or identify an animal or person from an extended distance. They will magnify the image so that it appears closer to you. A binocular's designation will tell you two things; the power (magnification) and the diameter of the objective lens. For example a 7x35mm designation indicates that the image will be magnified 7 times and the objective lens diameter is 35 millimeters. Looking for a selection guide? Want to learn more?
